By the department (Department of Transport Design N / Planning Division Municipality of Volos), informed us that parking motorcycles on the road Koumoundouros (from T. Oikonomaki until October 28) mentioned in Regulatory Decision which unanimously passed the City Council at the meeting of Volos 28 September 2012.
According to the Regulations (650/2012), established specific points delimited by construction (with fixed obstacles) parking lot for bicycles as follows :
- Updating the 319/2008 Decision of the Municipal Council for the Volos road segment Koumoundouros (from T. Oikonomaki until October 28),
- Jason (from Mavrokordatou to Philellinon, despite bor),
- Jason (from Glavanis to Koumoundouros, despite bor),
- Dimitriados (from Glavanis to St. Nicholas, despite the northern curb),
- France (from Andonopoulou to K. Kartali, despite bor).
According to the above mentioned, for the road Koumoundouros the first decision to build a parking bicycles was taken by year 2008 (319/2008 City Council's decision Volos). It was not and this decision Regulatory Decision was also taken unanimously by the previous City Council and provided similar special structural design to safeguard the parking spaces for two vehicles.
In order not to update the year 2008 Decision, were considered official documents and a series of decisions collective bodies of the Municipality of Volos namely :
- The by 2/5/2012 recommendation of the D / Planning Division - Department of Transport Design,
- The 28/2012 decision of the Commission on Sustainable Mobility Municipality of Volos,
- The 27/2011 unanimous decision of the Executive Committee of the Municipality of Volos,
- The 617/2011 City Council's decision Volos.
- The from July 2008 Technical Report of the Department of Transport Design.
- The 191/2008 unanimous decision of the Committee of Traffic Affairs of the Municipality of Volos.
Basic rationale all institutions for suggesting and then taking two similar regulations issued by the former and current City Council Volos, was finding a solution to the many mopeds parked on the main fabric of the city, "In order to avoid the phenomenon they occupy sidewalks and public spaces".
