The plaza at the entrance of the village with the gully that leads to this,

Οι κρήνες ξεπερνούν τις 50 τον αριθμό σ’ ολόκληρη τη Μακρινίτσα και συμπληρώνουν τον πολεοδομικό της εξοπλισμό. Πολλές είναι πλούσια διακοσμημένες με λιθανάγλυφα.

The central main road road reaches through Portaria in Pelion, τα τελευταία όμως χρόνια διανοίχθηκε και ο δρόμος μέσω Κουκουράβας.

Another admirable kind construction of traditional architecture of Makrinitsas are stone bridges that one can find in the village, front of the church of St. John Theologian, district Kakouna, and in surrounding Sites, as Karia, in Lestiani, στο Λοζίνικο και στο Αλεβίζι.

Churches

West of the square, the church of St. John (1806) with rich decoration of stone reliefs is a unique masterpiece of post-Byzantine Architecture. East of the main square is the church of the Virgin, Cathedral Village, built in 1767 and decorated with rich decoration of stone reliefs, part of which belongs to the oldest Byzantine Monastery of Acute Episkepseos built by Constantine in Malliasinos 1204. In the churchyard is the two-storey church of All Saints and St Nicholas what, recording of Byzantine frescoes 1743, και το Δεσποτικό.

Dating from the 18th and 19th century. The vast majority are three-storey stone-built for the most part, besides’ sections of the roof, that is lightly constructed (tsatma). They fortress with little configuration and barred windows in the basement, that multiply in the upper floors. Have loopholes, reinforced with metal investments, doors, Ambares, katachystres or zematistres and defensive turrets. The floor plan is shaped according to the needs of the family and the weather conditions. The ground floor was used for storage of products of the year, the mezzanine with many fireplaces were for the winter residence of the family and the floor with Doxato, the gazebo and the good beings were staying for the summer. Such mansions survive Makrinitsa like Vaitzi in Koukourava (1761) of Hatzikosta, of Topali, of Vlachli, of Tsibouki, of Xiradakis, of Mousli, του Μαύρου και πολλά άλλα.
