West of the square, the church of St. John (1806) with rich decoration of stone reliefs is a unique masterpiece of post-Byzantine Architecture. East of the main square is the church of the Virgin, Cathedral Village, built in 1767 and decorated with rich decoration of stone reliefs, part of which belongs to the oldest Byzantine Monastery of Acute Episkepseos built by Constantine in Malliasinos 1204. In the churchyard is the two-storey church of All Saints and St Nicholas what, recording of Byzantine frescoes 1743, and Despotic.
Other churches are the St. Athanasios 1792, of St. George 1795 Metamorphosis of 1797, of Ag. Trinity, that 1836 decorated by the folk painter Pagonis, the monastery of St. Gerasimos of 1792 and finally the imposing church of St. Magdalene in Koukourava of 1802.
