There was a time when religion was the social life of the Greeks – especially spatial. Tired of toil farmers waited for the feast of Saint to have fun, honor to drink, so to celebrate the marking of the ecclesiastical year of an event related to the death for the transportation, seldom birthday. Thus were born and lived through the centuries the folk festivals.
Festival “St. Athanasius”
The Feast of “St. Athanasius” celebrated in the Municipal District of Stagiadon on 2 May. Becomes artoklasia in churchyard.
Festival “Holy Trinity”
The Feast of “Holy Trinity” celebrated the homonymous chapel of the Municipal District KATICHORI. This year will be held on 24 June. After artoklasia the courtyard offered around the wine world, liquor and various tidbits.
Festival “Lady Great Nation”
The Feast of “Lady Great Nation” celebrated the homonymous chapel of the Municipal District KATICHORI. Carry on 24 August. Becomes artoklasia in the churchyard and then offered worldwide sweets and drinks.
Festival “Apostles”
The Feast of “Apostles” celebrated in the Municipal District KATICHORI. Carry on 29 June. Artoklasia is in the courtyard of the church and then to folk festival.
