The municipal unity (formerly municipality) of Nea Anchialos has a total population of 7,411 inhabitants. It is located to the north of the Pagasitic Gulf , west of the city of Volos . The former municipality operated from 1999 to 2010 based in Nea Anhialos. It includes the following municipalities and settlements:
